Marri Grove Primary School P&C
The Marri Grove P&C is a group of volunteer parents, carers and/or community members responsible for the canteen, book club and fundraising events.
The P&C Committee is made up of elected members and consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Fundraising Coordinator and general committee members.
Our meetings are held twice a term in weeks 3 and 7.
New committee members are always welcome at our meetings and we encourage you to come along and get involved. Annual membership fee is $1.00. Being a member of the committee ensures you have a say in matters relating to your children.
Fundraising
The P&C amongst its other roles, raises money for the school by fundraising. Annual events including Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls, Easter raffles and discos along with several other events raise the majority of funds. With the funds raised we have been able to purchase equipment and resources for Marri Grove PS. Most recently being new carpet squares used at assemblies, sound equipment and staging. In addition to these sorts of purchases, the P & C often subsidise school events such as swimming lessons.
If you have any ideas, suggestions or events you might like to see at Marri Grove Primary School please email: fundraisingmarrigrove@gmail.com
Scholastic book club
Scholastic book club is coordinated through the P&C and forms are distributed once a term. These books are an exceptional resource for your child at home and Scholastic provides some funds for our library from every order.
Money or forms to be returned to us should be placed in the P&C box located in the administration office.
If you need to contact the P&C, please email us at pandcmarrigrove@gmail.com or contact us through our Facebook page
We are a friendly and dedicated group and would love to hear your ideas and have your support. We look forward to working with you to benefit our children.
P&C Members
President – Jade Glover
Hi, I’m Jade and I have 1 child that attends Marri Grove and we have been part of the school for 4 years. I work full time but am fortunate enough to be able to also support the P&C. We are a small family of 3 and enjoy spending time with our animals and also going away on holiday.
Vice President – Bec Privett
I’m Bec. I’m currently the Vice President of the P&C and have held various roles over the years; the most fun being the Fundraising Coordinator. I’ve been a proud Marri Grove parent since 2018 and will come full circle next year with my eldest going off to high school and my youngest joining kindy.
Secretary – Kat Jellama
I’m Kat, I have 3 children. My eldest is now in high school, they attended MGPS from Kindy through to Year 6. My middle child is in Year 4, and my youngest will start Kindy next year. I have been on the P&C for 3 years and this is my second year as secretary.
Treasurer – Christina Wales
I’m Chris and I have been the Treasurer for Marri Grove P&C for 18 months. My 3 grandchildren attended the school around 10 years ago and loved it. My motivation for joining the P&C was to help the P&C support the school and students to be the best they can be.
Fundraising Coordinator – Sarah Griffiths
I’m Sarah and have been a part of the Marri Grove Primary community for 10 years. My daughter is now in high school, and my son is in his final year of primary. 2025 is my 3rd year on the P&C, first as the Fundraising Co-ordinator.
Executive Member – Lorraine de Lafontaine
I’ve been a proud parent at the school for 6 years with twins in Year 4. My motivation in joining the P&C is to be involved in supporting school improvements and supporting fundraising efforts.
Executive Member – Tracey Murfett
I’m a mum of 4 boys at home with a big fur baby too. I love reading and cooking/baking. I have 2 boys at Marri Grove Logan in Year 6 and Cole in Year 3. I moved the boys to Marri Grove at the beginning of last year. I’ve helped with a few fundraisers and decided to join the P&C this year. I have found Marri Grove a great school to be involved with. This P&C has restored my faith in P&Cs, that they aren’t all as bad as some.
